Day 246 of the Nowhere To Be Project is dedicated to the wonderful Wynn Las Vegas. Let me begin by stating that we are not huge Vegas people. We are too scared to gamble (much). We don’t party at all and aren’t really interested in clubs or nightlife. I know, we are completely boring, right? That may very well be, but we seek out “memorable experiences” and we found that by happenstance at the Wynn.

Promenade at the Wynn

We traveled to Las Vegas in our RV to see Willie Nelson in concert at the Cosmopolitan. We had some time to kill and I was in desperate need of a haircut. I lucked upon an appointment at the salon at the Wynn. The Wynn is unlike any other casino we’ve visited. In fact, the casino feels like an afterthought because the venue is so luxurious. Upscale shopping and dining abound within the impeccable property, making it a destination in and of itself. When I finally made my way to the spa, I was asked if I’d like to add a massage to my day. Of course I wanted to add a massage! Ten minutes later I was wrapped in a luxurious robe awaiting my pampering session.

The foyer at the Encore spa

There are no cameras permitted in the spa, so you’ll have to take my word for it when I say that the Encore spa at the Wynn was among the finest I’ve ever visited. That is saying a ton because I seek out highly rated spas all over the world in my quest for “the experience”. Every staff member I encountered was exceptional. The facility is as gorgeous as it is spotless! The entire “experience” was incredible. Standouts include the truffle greeting, the signature gold-dusted popcorn and the post-sauna chilled cucumber washcloths. We liked it so much that we will return for a few days in December just for hair and spa treatments! The best feeling of all was leaving Las Vegas in a state of complete relaxation. Not many people can same the same.

The special touches make a visit to the Encore Spa at the Wynn well worth the price tag!
